Top 10 Ways to Get Approved (First-Timers)

  1. Show 3× rent (clearly).

    3 recent pay stubs or an offer letter with start date; add W-2/1099 or 3–6 months of bank statements if gig/self-employed. Roommates can combine income.

  2. Quick credit tune-up.

    Pay revolving balances to <30% utilization, clear small past-dues, remove obvious errors, and lift any credit freezes before screening.

  3. Build a clean doc packet (one PDF folder).

    ID, income docs, HR contact, references, renters insurance quote, and (if no history) a letter of intent + proof of on-time bills.

  4. Budget move-in funds (liquid).
